Blue Wild Angel:

Jimi Hendrix at the Isle of Wright

5 out of 5

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite recently, I met a woman who had a isle of Wright

key chain.  I asked her what it was like there, and she

told me that it was "England in Miniature".  I also asked

her if she had seen any concerts there, and she told me

that closest she came to anything like that was a garlic

convention.  That sounds amazing, but I must say that

nothing can compare with the way Jimi Hendrix, Mitch

Mitchell and Billy Cox rocked the island to infinity

during this concert.

If you like Jimi Hendrix, you should see this!  It's a very

good concert movie.  The shots of the musicians

playing are great, long shots without distracting angles

or effects.  From the start of the movie you follow Jimi

Hendrix as he enters the venue and takes the stage.

Small details like the band members drinking coca-cola

are nice.  Jimi asks to be introduced as Blue Wild

Angel.  This is a cool name, but the promoter didn't get

it so he just introduced him as Jimi Hendrix.  Ah well.

There is some cool footage of the audience too.  There

are some great folks in the massive crowds, dancing

and being free- there is even a man with his face

painted silver.  The way the light shines on all of these

people is pretty cool.

As far as the music goes, it's at peak form.  Sadly, Jimi

Hendrix would leave this world just 18 days after this

concert.  RIP to this legend who really rocked music’s

ass to the extreme.  RIP to the legend Mitch Mitchell as

well.  Noel Redding was not in this movie, but sadly he

has also passed.
