ATL (2006)
3.2 out of 5

T.I. did a good job with the acting. He plays an aspiring
cartoon artist who is trying to save money for the future
and keep his little brother out of trouble. The film looked
cool. It seemed like this movie was directed by someone
who makes a lot of music videos. This can be good, but
borderline distracting. This movie is about going to high
school, meeting blazers, becoming an adult, and
rollerskating in ATL. The rollerskating scenes were my
favorite. Big Boi was my favorite actor in this one. He
played the role well. He was scary and fun. I think he's
underrated as a actor and a rapper too. I think he's as
good as Andre 3000. I liked the ending of this movie,
and I really enjoyed T.I.'s song "What You Know".
Around the time of it's release, I found myself listening
to that song repeatedly when people shocked me and
hurt my feelings because it is an effective mood
shifter.
